I too don't believe we should subsidizing any industry, if you can't make a profit you move on, find a new career.

Subsidizing fishermen is a stupid idea. Fish stocks all over the world are seriously depleted as a result of governments failing to stand up to the fact that fishing fleets are too large. Instead we pay fisherman to continue operating in an unsustainable industry. It’s time fishermen faced reality – we can’t pay people to do jobs that don’t need doing.
