Toyota is soon to put out a plug in version of their successful Prius model, and if the Depression deepens and Americans are softened into giving up their V-8 muscle cars and show a willingness to consider them, a Two seater, Prius powertrain in a Carbon fiber, polymer composite light bodied commuter car might be in the offing! Just imagine, over 80 mpg to quickly get you to and from work and your cozy little super insulated solar powered Eco-home, and mortgages and payment schedules you can afford! Not Exactly a GM Suburban 4 wheel drive luxury cruiser in front of your 8 bedroom McMansion, but affordable means you can keep it, and even grow old enjoying this lifestyle, and even a market bust won't destroy you, if you pay it down fast - new concept, paying down fast as possible may be hard to take at first, but hurts less than loosing everything! This is not socialist, it is growing up! Wake up America, Last Call, Last Call!

Why not just convert your car right now instead of waiting for mainstream companies to mass produce these things. It will take at least 5 years to even get a prototype of an electric car that can run like a gas car does today...

There are plenty of good EV conversion sites like http://gas2electric.net where you can get guides, kits, advice, and professional work.

I think the conversion industry is doing better than the electric car companies are...

This is great news. Its about time a country pulled it’s fingers out to help the environment. Hopefully this technology will be available all over the world soon!

Why spend so much on electricity when you can convert your current gasoline or diesel engine to run on hydrogen? I simply don't understand. Ronn Motors put their hydrogen on demand car out (I think it was called the Scorpion right?), Honda produces hydrogen by electrolysis of water (using photoelectric cells), and you would have heard about water4gas, so why bother about electricity. I mean where does the electricity come from? Burning diesel? So is it as clean as one would think?
I too like everybody else thought that hydrogen conversion or water4gas was nothing but a scam until I found the website that shouts http://water4gas-scam.com It is a totally scientific website full of scientific proof and references with research from places like the MIT, and US Air Force showing that this technology actually works. Why it's not been made public? Big oil suppression? I don't know and don't ask me. But do go to this website NOW and decide for yourself if the technology is true or not http://water4gas-scam.com
