What will be the environmental impacts of these geothermal developers? It's not ok for the fossil fuel companies to trash the environment, and it's not ok for the "green" developers to do it either.

Geothermal energy is just a glimpse of what the future will bring. The bubble in oil prices has shaken our confidence in oil as a reliable fuel. It took very little time to find substitutes, cheaper, more reliable, home grown substitutes - Good Bye OPEC domination! Hello new prosperity! Our Solar cell scientists have very much improved solar cells, We have made huge advances in insulation for homes, Our glaziers have triple layer super insulating windows on the trucks ready for us! Windmills are built with super magnets, not the crap from the "Dirty Thirties", and produce respectable power outputs for new age Lithium batteries, LED lighting, microwave cooking, and cell phone communications. We now have battery powered, realistically economical, computers too! We are a long way from the suffering of the last depression, and not likely to have to give up much! We will soon get to the bottom of the foolish folks that led to this fiasco in our lives and punish those responsible in a most serious way as we close their loopholes on their fingers, and move on to a wiser, more sane and sensible, "save, don't spend for the sake of spending" future of shrewd investment in individual survival technologies. Even smaller reactors for personal electric plants such as Toshiba's small miracle nuclear power plants will serve us. The new government will be in no position to prevent sales of these on a personal level! The poor working arm-pits of America will have a practical realistic place to invest hard earned dollars for immediate gains! We are almost free of the financiers that have held us hostage to mortgages and crooked car payment rackets! We will use our new found energy with respect and not squander this, our last Chance America - Last Chance!
