In Barack Obama’s weekly address, the president-elect warned that the economy could possibly get worse before it gets better. But he also said he was confident that if we could “summon that great American spirit” we would be able to overcome this current economic downswing. Beyond summoning spirit, Obama said we could climb out of this economic ditch and create three to four million jobs, half a million of those by investing in clean energy.
Obama said we would create the green jobs “by committing to double the production of alternative energy in the next three years, and by modernizing more than 75% of federal buildings and improving the energy efficiency of two million American homes.”
