Miners, like anybody, want to raise their families in a safe, healthy environment, including clean drinking water, air that's not full of toxic dust, and without deadly coal ash waste ponds threatening to drown them and their community in the middle of the night. Mountaintop removal in WV and throughout Appalachia threatens their lives...and leaves a ruined environment that destroys other livelihoods. Excellent point.
