Drain the Swamp: Tell Congress to fire Scott Pruitt

  • Published on April 24th, 2018

On Thursday April 26th, EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt will testify before the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Along with our allies, we aim to deliver more than a quarter million signatures as part of our petition demanding Pruitt be fired.

If you haven’t yet: Tell Congress to fire Pruitt.

The press remains focused on Pruitt’s ethics. The latest story is a doozy. Back when he was an Oklahoma State Senator, Pruitt bought a home from a lobbyist for $100,000 less than the lobbyist had paid for it while voting for the lobbyist’s bills. Tied into the deal was a sweetheart mortgage from a friend. Guess who’s now working for the EPA in positions they’re not qualified to hold? Both the lobbyist and the friend!

But you and I know that’s not the real scandal with Scott Pruitt. The real scandal isn’t a Pruitt scandal at all — it’s a Donald Trump scandal: Trump, Pruitt, and their Congressional allies are deliberately poisoning of our air, water, and climate so that they can help their fossil fuel friends cash in.

We’re not naive. We know if Pruitt goes, his number two at EPA, a former coal industry lobbyist, will continue the Trump assault. But forcing Trump to nominate a new EPA Administrator will help us shine a spotlight on how Trump and his Congressional allies are threatening our future.

And that public spotlight is key to ensuring voters hold Trump and his Congressional allies accountable this fall!

Yes, I can donate to help hold Trump accountable by exposing

the Administration’s scandals and getting out the vote this fall!
