  1. After listening to Friedman's interview on Charlie Rose show last nite, I think he has written the most important book on energy so far.

As a cherised GO Media fan, it is not hard to understand why Energy Technology should be the focus of this political campaign as it is the most important policy decision we can be making for US now and for our future!

In stark contrast, the Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae bailout-led by Republicans, with many Democrats created this huge scam.

But we all can give the most credit to former Texas Republican Phil Gramm who pushed through Congress in 2000-Commodity Futures Modernization Act, and had already co-authored the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act that became law in 1999, under President Clinton.

These 2 acts significantly help end regulation of the financial markets. Gramm who retired as head of Senate Banking committee then went to UBS Bank, while wife Wendy, was an Enron Director, who benefitted greatly from CFM Act.

Gramm and McCain have been critical supporters of one another (McCain was chair of Gramm's 1996 presidential campaign and Gramm provided critical support to Republican base, assuming that he would be Treasury secretary in future McCain administration. He is less visible right now because of blaming us as "whiners"-a deprecating statement in the face of his disastrous legislation.

I haven't even mentioned McCain's involvement in the Keating 5 scandal…where the media have treaded lightly.

If a McCain-Palin is change…this is a totally false assumption…as actions speak much louder than words. If citizens want a "Banana Reupblic" then just vote for more of the same, but I will vote for Obama/Biden as they at least have begun to address Energy Technology as a coherent policy.
