Olbermann Returns! Back on Air Tuesday Night

  • Published on November 7th, 2010

After a couple of days of rumor – “MSNBC doesn’t need Olbermann; they’ve got a strong lineup without him” – this from MSNBC President Phil Griffin:

“After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night’s program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night.”

Olbermann, one of the few progressive and pro-environment voices on cable, had been suspended for making three campaign donations to Democrats in violation of NBC (but not MSNBC) policy. But it looks like the head honchos at the network weren’t prepared for the huge outpouring of support Olbermann received.
